What I like about the DeLonghi DD50P
This model has an auto defrosting feature and it can function at temperatures as low as 41 degrees F. Once the temperature is too low, the machine warms up to defrost the coils to let it continue working. The room temperature itself is shown in the digital display. You can change three different fan speeds and the fan is not at all loud when placed in the basement.
I also think the DeLonghi DD50P is great because it is Energy Star rated. That means it saves power and takes more than a few bucks off electricity bills.

The DeLonghi DD50P is able to remove 50 pints of water a day from your basement, but if you want to use the collecting tank, you’ll have to empty the tank several times a day to reach that capacity. The tank has a safety system that shuts the unit off when the tank is improperly placed, full, or taken out.
A better idea would be to use the included hose and directly drain the water out. You can go on vacation and come back to a dry and odorless home.
The DeLonghi DD50P comes with a pump so you can put the unit anywhere without having to consider that the water level must be higher than the output hose.
